Wrapped AyeAyeCoin Classic

ayeAyeCoin is the first named token contract ever deployed in Ethereum. As it was named after a long fingered semi extinct lemur, native from Madasgar, itยดs also considered as the first animal and meme token deployed in the EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine). ayeAyeCoin was deployed on August 20, 2015, three weeks after Ethereum mainnet launch. ayeAyeCoin only existed in this original Ethereum chain, until the infamous The DAO Hack happened and Ethereum Foundation decided to fork the chain in the block #1920000, creating a โ€œnew-community created blockchainโ€ which rolled back the malicious smart contract code which led to the attack. Ethereum Foundation named as Ethereum this โ€œnew-community created blockchainโ€ and renamed as Ethereum Classic the original Ethereum chain where ayeAyeCoin was deployed. As Ethereum Classic chain was forked, all the existing contracts, wallets, tokens, collectibles and balances were duplicated in this new chain (everything was duplicated, with the exception of part of the smart contract code which the hacker used n to exploit The DAO, breaking the immutability principle of the blockchain) resulting as well in the creation of an ayeAyeCoin โ€œtwinโ€ ($WAAC). Ethereum Foundation chain was also forked few years later, in September 2022, leading to a new chain called Ethereum Proof of Work resulting in the creation of a new ayeAyeCoin โ€œtwinโ€. New forks of the original Ethereum Classic chain will lead to the creation of new ayeAyeCoin โ€œtwinsโ€. About the token launch, in a similar way to the well-known @cryptopunksnfts, ayeAyeCoin was almost โ€œfree to claimโ€ as it had a faucet which contained the 6,000,000 coins: By using the โ€œcoinBegโ€ function, anyone willing to pay a small fee could get one ayeAyeCoin from the contract dispenser. Once the function was executed, the coin was sent to the petitioner and the โ€œayeAyeCoin Love! One coin for you!โ€ message was displayed, until the faucet ran dry when the message โ€œSorry, the faucet has entirely run dryโ€ was displayed instead. As the faucet was discovered in Ethereum by one NFT archeologist in May 2024, all the tokens were claimed in June, so the total supply is circulating.
