BRICS is an international organization consisting of member countries such as Brazil , Russia , India , China , South Africa , Egypt , Ethiopia , Iran , Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates . The organization was established from BRIC , which is the first letter in the English names of 4 countries: Brazil, Russia, India and China , then admitted South Africa ( South Africa) in 2010. Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates officially joined this organization since January 1, 2024.
