IRIS is the name of the female protagonist in Ethereumorg's amazing Ethereum Is For AI video. She shares the same name as Virtuals Protocol's smart audit contract on the chain which was released the same day. She is meant to be the guardian of the chain, much like how the smart audit contract is meant to be the custodian of Ethereum transactions.
