Hayley Arceneaux made history during the 2021 Inspiration4 mission as the first person to bring a zero-gravity plush toy into space. Named “Jude” also known as the Space Puppy $JUDE the plush was created to honor St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause deeply personal to Hayley as a childhood cancer survivor. In 2024, fellow survivor Liv Perroto continued the tradition on the Polaris Dawn mission by flying her own zero-g plush, “Asteroid,” in support of St. Jude. While both women share inspiring journeys, Hayley’s Space Puppy $JUDE holds a special place as the very first zero-gravity plush toy ever flown in space.
