Community ClaimCommunity is taking over this bullish narrative! NAKED CRAB MAN FOREVER!
Naked Crab Man is a 2003 ink sketch by Matt Furie, the creator of Pepe the Frog. It’s a tiny (~3 inches), lo-fi drawing of a humanoid crab—naked, shell-less, and wonderfully weird. It’s considered Furie’s earliest documented work, predating his Playtime zine (2004–2005) and Boys' Club (2006). The piece captures Furie’s raw, surreal style: think playful absurdity with a touch of body-horror charm.
