Hokkaido Ken

The Hokkaido Ken, also known as the Hokkaido Inu, is a rare and ancient breed from Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido. Originally bred by the Ainu people for hunting, this medium-sized dog is known for its bravery and loyalty. The breed is extremely rare outside of its native country and its name is often shortened to "Dō-ken (道犬)."
