Snoopy is the only official NASA mascot. It has been the safety mascot since 1968. Astronauts still wear the Silver Snoopy pin on every mission. Rise is the mission mascot for Artemis II only. A smiling Moon plush designed by an 8-year-old boy (Lucas Ye). It flew as the zero-gravity indicator (floats when weightlessness starts). Asteroid is a Shiba Inu plush from the Polaris Dawn mission (SpaceX, private, not NASA). Designed by a young girl named Liv (who sadly passed away after battling cancer). It was inspired by Elon Musk’s dog Floki and served as zero-g indicator.
