WAIT… IS VLAD TENEV ACTUALLY STARTING A POLITICAL PARTY? This might be one of the craziest FEC filings I've seen this year. Vlad has been getting increasingly involved in U.S. politics lately — showing up in Washington, appearing alongside President Trump, supporting major policy initiatives, and putting Robinhood closer to the political spotlight than ever before. And now something VERY interesting just appeared in the FEC database: THE OWNERSHIP PARTY. A newly filed national party committee based in Menlo Park. Robinhood's entire mission has always revolved around expanding access to financial markets and giving ordinary people a chance to become owners. So what if Vlad's recent political involvement wasn't just random? Could The Ownership Party be the political extension of Robinhood's “ownership” philosophy? There has been no official announcement from Vlad or Robinhood, so nothing is confirmed yet.
