The OG Frog

Before Pepe became the face of internet culture, there was another frog. His name was Oggie. Created by legendary underground cartoonist Robert Crumb in 1963, more than 40 years before Pepe, Oggie may be the forgotten ancestor of the world’s most famous meme. 🐸 This wasn’t just any random frog. Oggie came from the early work of R. Crumb, the artist who would become one of the defining figures of American underground comix and a major influence on generations of alternative cartoonists.
