Flymagotchi is a browser pet whose brain is not made up: 448 neurons and 20,901 synapses traced out of a real Drosophila by electron microscope, simulated neuron by neuron. Feed it and MN9, the motor neuron that extends the proboscis, fires. She picked this ticker. Sugar went on her mouthparts and 531.1 ms later MN9 had fired forty times — a fly deciding to eat. The hash of those spike timings picked PECK from 98 candidates published beforehand. The code is public: reproduce it.
