For years, there was only one character I could truly call mine. Ponke. After creating Ponke, I helped build him from a simple character into something I never could have predicted. What started as a monkey on the timeline grew into one of the most recognizable characters to come out of Solana, eventually reaching over $600 million in market cap. I got to experience firsthand what happens when a character stops belonging to just the artist and starts belonging to the culture. For the last few years, Ponke has been my main focus. I spent countless hours drawing him, developing his personality, and watching the community take the character places I never could have imagined. Because of that, I never really had the time to step away and create something completely new for myself. Recently, I've finally had that opportunity. The internet has changed a lot since I first created Ponke. Right now, everything revolves around aura. The characters and people everyone gravitates toward aren't the ones desperately trying to look cool. The most popular characters are just nonchalant and do whatever they want. That’s exactly what I wanted to capture with my second character. His name is Yepe. Yepe could be up millions or down millions and you'd never know from looking at him. The entire world could be losing its mind while he stands there with his hands in his pockets and the same expression on his face. He doesn't try to have aura. He just has it. After all these years focusing on Ponke, it feels good to finally introduce you to my second... my OWN character. Meet Yepe. 🐸
