Yabloko, Russia's only remaining openly anti-war political party, was just banned. Looks like the last traces of political opposition are being removed leading up to the legislative election next month. Young Russians gathered outside Moscow’s Supreme Court on Monday carrying apples — a symbol of Yabloko, Russia’s liberal opposition party, whose name means “apple” in Russian. The demonstration came as the court barred Yabloko from taking part in next month’s parliamentary elections.
