In 1913 a French mathematician named Émile Borel pointed out that a monkey hitting typewriter keys at random, for long enough, would eventually produce the complete works of Shakespeare. Nobody asked the monkey. He's been at it ever since. He has typed 400 million pages. He has produced the word "the" 11 times and one full line of Macbeth that he immediately typed over. He does not know what Shakespeare is. He does not know what a keyboard is. He knows that if he stops, the probability collapses to zero, and if he doesn't, it doesn't. This is the only real edge anyone has ever had. Not intelligence. Not timing. Volume, and refusing to quit before the math arrives. They built a trillion dollar industry on this exact premise.
