$SHERBERT refers to memes based on a clip of the tree character, Oak, from Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville (PvZ), referred to by fans as Sherbert the Tree, chanting or singing while walking towards a yeti, then blasting the yeti with a yellow wave of sound, knocking it over. The original clip was paired with a phonk remix of the song "GOZALO" by Ariis. Edits using the sound and different characters have been spreading like wildfire over the past few months gaining virality on TikTok and Instagram Reels. Sherbert has since been posted by big brands like: OperaGX, My Singing Monsters, Lessons in Meme Culture and YouTooz and continues to explode in popularity. See y'all at the next one.
