Decentralized Man

In a 2015 article published in Japan’s Raspberry Pi Magazine, Vitalik Buterin was described as “The Decentralized Man.” At the time, Ethereum was still a young and largely experimental project, known mainly within a small circle of developers and early crypto believers. The article presented Vitalik as a visionary building more than just another digital currency: a decentralized “world computer” powered by smart contracts, open participation, and code-based trust. Long before DeFi, NFTs, rollups, and the broader Web3 movement, the idea was already clear: Ethereum could become a new foundation for the internet.
