Bureau of Internet Culture is a global collective of technologists, artists and collectors safeguarding the web's most iconic memes. The DAO sources, authenticates and archives culturally significant digital artifacts on-chain, so they can be appreciated, and owned, permanently. It also helps the original creators of viral culture come on-chain: verifying their work, recording its provenance, and helping them earn from it. BIC is the DAO's token: holding it is fractional ownership of the meme treasury and a governance vote in what the DAO collects and how it is run. It succeeds NFD, which holders convert one-for-one.
