Meet Annie! Daughter of the legendary “handsome gorilla” Shabani Born June 2, 2013 at Higashiyama Zoo (Nagoya). Mom - Ai, Dad — Shabani, older brother (by father) - Kiyomasa. The whole family is very close. Shabani gently raised her, although the zoo had to help at first. In late 2025 Annie moved to Ueno Zoo in Tokyo. The family sometimes misses her, but she’s growing into a beautiful young gorilla and continues to charm visitors!
