FORGE is the onchain participation token associated with Biomined, a ValleyDAO funded research project developing biomining approaches for recovering metals from electronic waste. The underlying research is conducted with CSIRO and evaluates an integrated biohydrometallurgical process that includes e-waste size reduction, biological lixiviant generation, bioleaching, biological reagent generation for metal recovery, and recovery of metals from leach liquors. The project focuses on turning e-waste, including printed circuit board material, into a source of recoverable metals through bench-scale biological processes and related process optimization.
