In 2018, the Uniswap labs team built V1 of Uniswap, the #1 DEX on Ethereum, ready to roll out for use! It was a ground-breaking and momentous occasion. Before they wanted the public to use their protocol and risk potentially irreparable financial damage, the Uniswap team put out a few tokens of their own to make sure things operated smoothly, securely and as intended. They deployed 3 tokens to be exact. The first token, which has caused a recent interest in OG Uniswap tokens was $HAY, short for Hayden Adams, the founder of Uniswap. The 2nd token is $JCD, Jackie Chan Dollar, a co-founder of UNISWAP. $JCD was the first token to go live on Uniswap V1. The 3rd token was $UNI. While Jackie Chan is not a part of the $JCD project at this time, the community has taken it upon themselves to acquire tokens from v1 Uniswap, first deployed over 4 years ago, and added liquidity to Uniswap v3 pools. $JCD is completely decentralized, everything from the liquidity to this website is funded by the community for the community!
